Locally owned American Engineering Consultants, Inc. announces their 30th Anniversary Celebration
Cayce, SC – American Engineering Consultants, Inc. is celebrating its 30th year of providing the highest standard of expertise in civil engineering and surveying in South Carolina. AEC’s roots go back 55 years when its parent company, Hercules Contractors and Engineers, Inc., was formed in 1969.
American Engineering Consultants, Inc. is one of a handful of locally owned engineering firms in the state. The company was formed in 1994 from the engineering division of Hercules and has enjoyed continuous local ownership. The Principals of AEC are graduates of the University Of South Carolina School Of Engineering, as are nearly all the members of the engineering team. Additionally, Principal|President, Bill Bingham, Jr. one of the few consulting engineers in the State to have the distinction of being an AAEES Nationally Board Certified Environmental Engineer in the field of Water Supply/Wastewater Engineering. Combined with their parent company, AEC has been involved in a tremendous amount of the design and/or construction of Infrastructure throughout South Carolina for over 55 years. AEC is a full-service consulting firm dedicated to serving state, municipal, and private sector clients in the areas of civil and environmental engineering, and surveying services. Over the course of the last few years, the firm has been engaged, from the inception through awards, in the SCIIP (South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program) grant allocations to ensure our clients benefitted from this unique opportunity to improve critical services for their residents and businesses. The AEC team submitted 16 SCIIP applications on behalf of their clients, procuring over $80M in grant funding for municipal infrastructure improvement projects. AEC is honored to work on the design and construction of these projects, playing a role to strengthen and modernize critical community infrastructure.
