Kenneth A. Bingham, PE

Mr. Bingham received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Prior to the establishment of American Engineering Consultants, Inc., Mr. Bingham was Vice-President of Construction and Project Engineer with Hercules Contractors and Engineers, Inc. His primary duties included project estimating, project management, project scheduling, structural design, and design of temporary drainage and erosion control systems.

Since the founding of American Engineering Consultants, Inc., Mr. Bingham has been actively involved in civil engineering design- having designed roads, water and sewer systems, detention ponds, parking facilities, and storm drainage systems. He has also been instrumental in providing value-engineering services to our clients. By combining his vast experience in project estimating and construction with his engineering knowledge, he has been able to provide cost effective engineering solutions. In addition to his work with AEC, Mr. Bingham served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2000 until 2016. He is the Former Chairman of the House Ethics Committee and also former member of the House Ways and Means Committee. He is a former House Majority Leader and a past member of the Medical, Military, and Municipal Affairs Committee and the Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee. Kenny provides invaluable experience to our clients through his understanding of all aspects of funding sources.

His experience in dealing with the public and governmental agencies as an elected official have proven invaluable when dealing with the public on sensitive issues, conducting public hearings, and obtaining permits. His innate skills of diplomacy and ability to bring people to consensus are unrivaled, and are a tremendous asset to our clients.
