Mr. Bingham obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. In 1969, he founded Hercules Contractors and Engineering, Inc. managing the construction of several water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as hundreds of miles of pipeline construction throughout South Carolina. He developed extensive experience in structural engineering design, field engineering, construction management, project scheduling, project estimation, and business management.

Together with his two sons, he formed the engineering branch of the company, American Engineering Consultants, Inc. in 1994. Through his guidance and depth of experience, he has been able to provide clients with unparalleled value engineering. His leadership extends to his community and the State of South Carolina, where he has given his time and experience as a member of the Medical University of South Carolina Board of Trustees, and served on the Governor’s Economic Business Alliance Task Force.
